The Phoenix like Nature of my Being

When I finally told her how I felt i was so invigorated by the adrenalin that was running through my body that i didn’t even consider that she might say no, and then she did, at that moment a part of me, the part that loved vanished from my being, you see i was so in love so enthralled by the way she did everything that when she told me that I wasn’t good enough for her it shattered my mind in ways only conceivable by those who have also experienced this, I still feel the pain from that rejection every time i see her but i don’t think it even occurs to her, after all she probably preoccupies her time with the thoughts of superior guys ones that are better looking, more normal, less serious, conforms to society that get A’s and B’s yet doesn’t think logically, you know the average high school guy, but even with this all i still can’t help but love her, it angers me that i can’t just move on and forget about the whole thing as easily as she did, maybe i would be happier then, so it seems that even when my heart is torn and shattered, it grows back just how it was before, my heart, my soul, my very being is the phoenix of emotion.

Hardesty’s Temporal Cognitive Influence Theory (HTCIT)

I’ve been holding this one under my belt for awhile as it’s my first theory in the world of quantum mechanics that’s truly my own, now i feel it’s time to post my first real article, Have you ever noticed that sometimes you’ll be thinking of a song and then it’s on the radio right after it pops into your head? HTCIT or Hardesty’s Temporal Cognitive Influence Theory is a idea in Quantum Mechanics that attempts to explain this phenomenon. According to Quantum Information theory all information and events are stored on the Quantum Foam (see Into The Universe with Stephen Hawking for more details) Because of the vast number of holes that exist in the Quantum Foam holes with connections to future events could possibly be passively influenced our thought process, this might also explain how two people are able to say the same exact thing at the same exact time AKA Jinx.

Why People Believe The Astral Plane

There are certain human behaviors that I’ve encountered that perplex me, I’ve observed people who so badly want something, that they are actually able to convince themselves that they have attained that thing they want. One of my classmates for example claims that he saw dead family and friends on a extra plane of existence known as the “Astral Plane”. To give a brief description of what it, its basically a dimension between our own and the after life (presumably Heaven) that allows for humans to see and talk to people on “the other side”. Now i’m sure that if you have any thing even barely comparable to a brain you have realized that this astral plane doesn’t exist, so why does this person claim that he has seen these things, i suppose you could just chalk it up to lying, but who’s going to tell a lie that so obviously a lie? The person must believe what they are saying but how could they you may ask? I believe that the same way that people with a crush are able to fantasize intimacy with their crush thanks to dopamine, desperate people are able to vividly fantasies about the things they feel that they need as part of their lives and if they pretend like these fantasies are reality the dopamine continues to be produced.

Death

I’ve come to the realization that death no longer means anything to society, just some word we use when we want to be edgy or are attempting to be deep, but in reality it isn’t deep, I don’t know why its devolved from being the end of something life into a word that emo bands use to send a “message” to society that even they don’t fully understand, at this point death is a foreign concept to the average man, we as a race have been so desensitized by the media when it comes to death because of how often it is shoved into our faces whether it be the morning news or NCIS, we have stopped caring about what it means to die, are you even afraid to die?if not, why? do you think that you will go to heaven or do you not grasp what death is? you hear about families who lose loved ones in pointless wars, do you cry for them perhaps you wonder would they cry for you. you’ve seen the plane hit the building the people jumping from the building the scenes of the towers collapsing did you cry? or was it just a movie to you. tell me does death truly matter to you anymore? If we would just take a second and contemplate that ramifications of death to ourselves and the ones around us maybe we could get somewhere, life is a one time opportunity it will end we need to take control of the moment and do something to change the world which we only have so much time to occupy. Just consider death, True death not what you currently view death as but what it truly is- then end of your consciousness. just imagine all the people living for today.

A Bit On The Paranormal

A speech i listened to today at school sparked my interest in a topic that i hadn’t thought about for some time: Ghost and Spirits. I myself am not a believer as a atheist it would be silly of me to recognize ghosts as possibly existing yet dismiss the idea of god, but at one time i did believe, to be honest i was obsessed. I would spend hours in my room researching the “science” behind it and watched many youtube videos which claim to show proof of various supernatural phenomena, i even went on a ghost hunt of my own a experience which was truly terrifying but perhaps thats for another time, what i want to discuss is why i don’t believe in ghosts.

For me it really comes down to one question: if ghosts are the souls of humans who haven’t “passed on” and humans have been around near half a million years why hasn’t the number of spirits added up to a observable point? 500,000 years is roughly 166666 generations you’d think that the number of ghosts would have piled up enough to where encountering a apparition is a daily occurrence. As a extension of that question i also wonder why people who have these encounters with the paranormal aren’t scientists, there has been thousands of well respected scientists why haven’t they encountered any? Or another angle, why haven’t the ghosts of scientists made themselves known? These are really just a few of the questions that come to my mind when i think of the concept of ghosts.

Now for one last thing, something that absolutely pisses me the hell of is how pseudo scientists are using the ghost thing to profit off believers by selling ghost cleansing services, ghost hunting products and ghost hunting services, these people are obviously charlatans profiting off of the scared and ignorant, and possibly worst of all instead of making the people they rip-off at least feel safe about the situation of the ghost(s) they often time instill more fear into them so that they will return for more services. Because of this obvious injustice i propose the formation of a new organization: The National Skeptic League for Inquiry into Paranormal Claims of NSPLIPC, essentially a ghost hunting organization for people who aren’t concerned about money but instead about the truth. members would go on various investigations of paranormal claims and search for a truth behind them, whether or not that is ghosts remains to be seen, yet it would be the first time skeptics have gone out of their way to search for the answer at its root.

That is all…

You’re traveling through another dimension — a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. That’s a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone!

Star Wars:Episode I The Phantom Menace 3-D Review

At the time i started writing this it has only been three hours since I finished watching George Lucas’s latest money grab “Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace 3-D” so it’s still pretty fresh in my mind, i hope this allows for a well written and informative review.

Because George Lucas still hasn't taken enough of your money yet

It had been about a year since i had seen Episode I last, so i could go into it with a somewhat open mind.  however no amount of open mindedness could save this movie it seems.

First some positives: The 3-D wasn’t gimmicky and stuff like the opening crawl and duel of fates really benefited from it, for the most part i found the 3D to be more akin to that of Nintendo’s 3D which give depth rather than popping out of the screen at the viewer. The film also looked very nice i believe it was the blu-ray version that was converted to 3D because Yoda was CGI instead of the Muppet from the original. The visuals looked crisp and the pod race inpaticular really popped. Also Darth Maul is a bad ass.

Now for the not so good parts which sadly is everything else: The 3D was not gimmicky enough, i realize i just said that the lack of gimmicky 3D was a positive, however it only really worked on one level, if they would have included some more gimmicky scenes like having the explosions that occur during the pod-race pop out of the screen it would have been really cool and made it a more enjoyable experience. though i am glad that he didn’t overdo the 3D at least.

Moving on to the movie itself, i had forgotten how utterly terrible Jake Lloyd is as a actor, the way he delivers lines like “are you a angel” make me feel stupid for sitting in the theater

he’s also terrible at emoting, for example when he ends up accidentally flying the Naboo star fighter into the droid control ship, he doesn’t at all seem worried or even mildly concerned  that he could DIE!!! instead he just flys around with a dumb smile on his face as if nothing ever happened it’s really bad.

Speaking of the naboo star fighter i think i should mention something about R2-D2 who helped Jake Lloyd (i refuse to call him Anakin) pilot the ship and a few other characters. a theme throughout the prequel trilogy that started here was the unnecessary inclusion of characters from the original trilogy that really don’t have any place in these movies, R2D2 C-3PO and Boba Fett are examples of this. They don’t really serve to move the story forward and seem out of place. consider this C-3PO was constructed by Luke’s father after years of hoping around the universe by chance ends up back where he started on Tatooine.

The Story is also pretty shallow, while i wouldn’t call it the worst of the series that honor goes to Attack of The Clones, its plot structure is set in such a way that it almost seems like rather a series of events making up a overarching story, it’s a story about seemingly unrelated events that have to happen in order to keep the continuity of the original trilogy in tact. and the content of the story namely the Trade Federation plot didn’t intrigue me at all.

In Conclusion i actually found this movie rather enjoyable, not good (not by a long shot) but enjoyable
